PrivyCDP vs Salesforce Data 360 customer data platform (CDP)
This customer data platform (CDP) comparison is for teams choosing between a customer-managed PrivyCDP deployment and Salesforce Data 360. Compare the same data workflow and include the Salesforce org, applications and billing assumptions in the review.

Salesforce Data 360 public pricing
Salesforce lists Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits and Profiles at $240 per 1,000 profiles per year. These are different charging models; a credit is not a profile or a complete deployment quote. Review included actions, editions and entitlements in the official Data 360 pricing. Last checked: .

Five differences to investigate
PrivyCDP entries describe its published positioning, not an independently audited deployment. Salesforce entries use the official sources below. Product names, editions and contract terms matter.

Deployment decision
The published PrivyCDP model is software deployed in a customer-controlled cloud or on-premise environment. Confirm the supported topology and operations scope in the proposal.
Data 360 is enabled in a Salesforce org. Evaluate its Salesforce operating model, contracted region and permissions against your requirements.
Warehouse data access
Review whether each source uses ingestion, batch sync or an approved connector; test freshness, retries and deletion in your environment.
Salesforce documents zero-copy federation for supported external data sources. This can reduce copying; it does not mean every workflow is zero-copy.
Commercial model
Published licensing separates software from infrastructure and services. Request a written license, support and update schedule for your deployment.
Current Data 360 pricing offers credit-based and profile-based options. Product entitlements, quantities and billing treatment depend on the selected offering.
Activation and integration
Validate a complete source-to-destination workflow using your existing systems, including consent enforcement and failure handling.
Evaluate Data 360 with the Salesforce applications and supported destinations you intend to use. Confirm connector availability and any separate product requirements.
Operating responsibility
Budget for infrastructure, access administration, backups, upgrades and incident response. Assign an owner to each task before choosing self-hosting.
Assess the division of responsibilities between Salesforce, your administrators and integration partners. Include monitoring of usage and entitlements.
Planning your evaluation
Which model fits your team?
The architecture recommendation is conditional on your requirements; this page does not rank products on an unverified feature score.
Evaluate PrivyCDP when deployment ownership is mandatory
Bring the required cloud account or datacenter, approved egress destinations, access policies and operating team. Confirm the release, connector and support scope before treating the proposed design as an accepted deployment.
Evaluate Data 360 when Salesforce is central to the workflow
Test the actual Salesforce org, source systems and destination applications together. Include administrators who understand the selected edition, entitlements and credit or profile assumptions.
Run one comparable proof of concept
Use synthetic records to ingest an event, resolve an identity, suppress a withdrawn consent and deliver to an approved destination. Measure end-to-end latency, retries and audit evidence for both products.
Compare three years of operating cost
Include integration work, data processing, storage, activation, internal staffing, support and exit costs. Use measured workload volumes and written quotes, with separate growth and peak-load scenarios.
The comparison uses public vendor documentation and PrivyCDP's published operating model. It does not establish an independently audited deployment or a feature ranking. Use the same synthetic source, identity, consent and destination tests for both products, with current written quotes and operating responsibilities.
